Privacy notice.

What this site collects, what it deliberately doesn't, and how to have any of it deleted. If any of it is unclear, that's a fault worth telling us about.

Who we are

ASLM Digital Solutions operates this website. We are registered in Wyoming, USA, at 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, and run by a UK-based founder serving clients in both markets.

For anything in this notice, including a request to see or delete your data, write to hello@aslmdigitalsolutions.com. It reaches the founder directly.

Because we work with people in the UK and the EU, we apply UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) to everyone who uses this site, wherever they are. It is simpler than running two standards and it is the stricter of the two.

The short version

We do not sell your data, and we do not buy it. There is no advertising network on this site and no data broker in the chain.

Nothing is stored on your device unless you say yes. Our own visitor measurement uses no cookies and no local storage at all, and the enquiry forms keep nothing on your device either. Google Analytics does use cookies, so it stays switched off until you accept.

We keep very little. Website measurement is deleted automatically after 30 days. Enquiries are kept because they are correspondence.

You can ask us to delete anything, at any time. One email and it is done.

When you contact us or book a call

If you use the contact form, the booking form or email us directly, we receive what you chose to send: your name, your email address, and whatever you tell us about the work. The booking form also records the date and time you asked for.

We use this for exactly one purpose — to reply to you and, if it goes further, to scope and deliver the work. It is never added to a marketing list, and we do not send newsletters.

The main enquiry form saves your details before notifying ASLM by email. It includes the topic, business, description and any optional tools, budget, timing or country you add. The contact form additionally records your browser time zone, to help propose a sensible call time, and any campaign parameters present in the address you arrived on. The shorter enquiry dialog sends neither of those. No client documents or passwords should be submitted. A saved enquiry does not guarantee email delivery or confirm a meeting.

Lawful basis: your consent when you make an enquiry, and our legitimate interest in answering it. If a project starts, performance of a contract.

How long: the online enquiry store automatically expires individual records after 90 days. Email correspondence is held separately while needed to respond, scope or deliver work and meet applicable obligations. A hashed email identifier used to limit repeated submissions expires after 10 minutes. Contact us about access or deletion.

How we measure the website

This is the part most notices are vague about, so here is exactly what happens.

Our own measurement stores nothing on your device. No cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting. When you open a page we record the page address, where you arrived from, the country your connection is in, your device type and browser, roughly how long you stayed, and how far you scrolled.

We do not keep your IP address. It reaches our server as it does with any website request, is used once to read the country your connection is in, and is discarded. It is never written to storage, so there is nothing to hand over or lose.

Visits within one browser tab are grouped by a random identifier held only in that page's memory. It is never written to your device, so it disappears when you close or reload the tab, and it cannot recognise you tomorrow or on another site.

The result is measurement that tells us which articles people read and which pages lead somewhere, and which genuinely cannot identify a person. That is why it does not need your permission.

How long: 30 days, then deleted automatically.

Lawful basis: legitimate interest in understanding whether the site works. No personal data is stored, so nothing here needs consent under PECR.

Cookies and Google Analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own.

Google Analytics does set cookies, so we ask before loading it. Until you accept, it runs in a restricted mode that sets no cookies and no identifiers. Accept, and it sets two cookies (_ga and a second beginning _ga_) which recognise a returning browser and let Google report how people found the site.

If you decline, nothing is stored and the site works identically. Declining costs you nothing.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under aslm-consent, so we do not ask again. That single entry is the only thing this site stores on your device, and it is there because remembering your answer is necessary to respect it.

To change your mind at any time, clear this site's data in your browser and the prompt will appear again.

Lawful basis: your consent, and only your consent.

Live chat

The chat is provided by ChatDesk, which we build and operate ourselves.

It loads only when you open it. Until you press the button, nothing from the chat service runs on the page and no request is made to it beyond the small avatar image on the button itself.

When you do open it, the chat runs inside its own domain rather than ours, so anything it stores belongs to that domain and not to this site. Whatever you type in the chat is sent to us, and we use it to answer you.

Lawful basis: your consent, given by opening the chat and writing to us.

Who else touches your data

We keep this list short on purpose. These are the only services involved:

Vercel — hosts the website and provides cookieless page-view and performance measurement.

Upstash — stores the website measurement described above, in a European region.

Resend — sends the notification email to ASLM when you make an enquiry. No confirmation email is sent to you: the acknowledgement shown on the page is your receipt.

Google Analytics — only if you accept cookies.

ChatDesk — only if you open the chat.

Each is used for the single purpose listed. None of them is permitted to use your data for their own purposes, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis.

Email hello@aslmdigitalsolutions.com and we will respond within one month, usually much sooner. There is no charge and you do not need to explain why.

One honest limitation: our website measurement is deliberately built so it cannot identify anyone. That means if you ask what it holds about you, we genuinely cannot look you up — there is no identifier to search on. That is the trade for not tracking you.

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security, transfers and changes

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is transmitted to us over encrypted connections and is not stored in a public database. We keep the number of services holding anything as small as we can, because the surest way to protect data is not to collect or copy it.

Some of the services above are US companies, including our own registration. Where personal data reaches them it is covered by the standard safeguards those providers operate for UK and EU transfers.

If what the site does changes, this notice changes with it, and the date at the top moves. We will not quietly widen what we collect and leave this page saying otherwise.

Still unclear?

If a line here does not tell you what you wanted to know, that is worth fixing — tell us and we will rewrite it.
