AI consulting

Where AI actually pays off in your business — and where it doesn't.

AI consulting here means one thing: a straight, evidenced answer to what you should build, what it will cost, and what to leave alone. It is delivered as a written recommendation in a week for a fixed fee — the Reality Check — not as an open-ended advisory retainer.

Most businesses do not have an AI problem. They have a decision problem: several plausible options, no way to compare them, and every vendor answering a question that happens to match what they sell. What is missing is someone senior who will look at the actual business and say which one earns its place.

Book a Reality Check

Is this you?

Where this earns its place.

  • You know AI should be useful here and cannot tell which use case is real.
  • You have quotes that differ by a factor of five and no way to judge them.
  • Your board is asking for an AI strategy and you would rather have one working system.
  • You need someone technical in the room who is not selling you the build.

If you want a strategy deck, a maturity model or a transformation roadmap, we are the wrong firm. We produce a short written recommendation about your specific systems, and we would rather disqualify ourselves than deliver a document that changes nothing.

What you get

Specifically, not in principle.

01

A ranked list, not a menu

Where AI and automation would pay for themselves fastest in your business, in order, with the reasoning shown. Frequency, error cost and hours — the arithmetic you can check rather than take on trust.

02

A real number against each one

What it costs to build properly, and what happens if it is built badly. Not a range wide enough to be meaningless.

03

What to leave alone

The items that look attractive and are not worth doing — because the process changes too often, the volume is too low, or the judgement being automated is the actual job. This is usually the most valuable page.

04

A summary a non-technical decision-maker can read

One page, no translator required, suitable for taking to a board or a partner who has to approve the spend.

How it runs

One week, one fee, one answer.

Day one we map what you run and where the manual work and risk actually sit. Days two and three we pressure-test the highest-value opportunities with real engineering rather than a questionnaire. Day four everything gets a number. Day five you get it in writing.

The recommendation is yours regardless of whether you then hire us to build it. If the honest answer is that you should do nothing yet, that is what the report says — and we would rather write that than take a project we do not believe in.

Before you ask

Straight answers.

No. It is a fixed-fee piece of work with a written deliverable, and it frequently concludes that some of what you were considering is not worth building. That conclusion is the product, not a way to get to a bigger one.
